They are usually threaded on each end of the shaft and can come with plates, washers, and nuts. U-bolts are typically used in building and construction applications. U-bolts are also used to hold ropes together. Whereas a square shaped U-Bolt is mainly used for lumber applications. Zinc plating, retards the corrosion rate in a normal atmosphere.
